Coming to Neath Port Talbot College is about expanding your potential, meeting new people, exploring a new environment and enjoying yourself. We are a dynamic College, continually developing and improving the way we work to give you the best chance to excel in your chosen area of study. Whichever course you enrol on, you can expect a variety of valuable experiences during your studies at the College. Many of the study programmes offered involve students making educational visits to other parts of the UK and abroad. Recent examples include catering students attending the Hotelympia exhibition held at Earls Court (London) and Engineering/Motor Vehicle students working at the Audi factory in Heilbronn (Germany). Both the Neath and Afan campuses have extensive Learning Resources Centres, consisting of a main Library, quiet study areas and IT facilities. These house a wide selection of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, European information and also include facilities for photocopying. The Key Skills of Communication, Application of Number and IT are so important that all students are now expected to gain qualifications in these areas during their time at Neath Port Talbot College. Whether you expect to go on to university or straight into a job, being able to communicate well, relate well with others, being a good communicator and a problem solver are all important and essential attributes that will assist you in your personal development. The College is proud of its academic, sporting and cultural success. Many individual students and groups of students have won awards or represented Wales or Great Britain in a range of activities including:- Horticulture, Catering, Engineering, Performing Arts, Business and many different sports at Regional, National (UK) and European levels. Students consistently achieve results in final examinations above national averages.
