British College of Osteopathic Medicine
The British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) is internationally regarded as one of the world’s best specialist osteopathic education institutions. BCOM was founded in London in 1936 by the famous naturopathic osteopath, Stanley Lief. During its long history, BCOM has become a world leader in osteopathic education and research with the most full-time academic staff in any UK osteopathic college, as well as the first institution in the UK to offer an osteopathic honours degree and to achieve a landmark “approval without conditions” recognition from the General Osteopathic Council. In 2008, BCOM launched its innovative and much-praised four year undergraduate Masters in Osteopathy attracting public funding to eligible students.
