Every university has its own restrictions of admission and reserves the right to choose, not only on the basis of grades, but also by reference letters or internship experience. Some universities require admittance tests also of their own or invite applicants for a personal interview.

The indicated grades are to be understood only as a guide and not comparable with the German Numerus Clausus. To be sure that you qualify for the qualifications required, contact NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Center ) or ENIC (European Network of Contact Information Center ). The universities or the British Council can provide direct information about the qualifications of your degree.

In general, a British A-levels (or Scotish Highers or National Diplomas ) is comparable to an admission requirement for university entrance for a course of undergraduate studies. This applies, for example, if one has obtained his university entrance in a country of the European Economic Area . Even a minimum of 13 years continuous education in another country meets the admission requirements.

For a Master study you must present a Bachelor ’s degree, an intermediate diploma or intermediate testing are not sufficient as a rule.
