Approval Procedures Do you want to study in Great Britain, but you don’t know how the approval procedures work? Here, you will find the most important information about application procedures.

The manner of the application is dependent on the targeted student status. If you intend to complete your studies in Great Britain, you must use an application system on the Internet named UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions service ). The applications are prepared online and then sent to the respective universities.
The application deadline for students from Great Britain and the EU ends on January 15th of the year in which the studies should begin. Special rules apply to the University of Oxford and Cambridge.
Here, you must send an application directly to the university in addition to the UCAS procedure until October 15th the previous year at the latest. Except for Oxford and Cambridge, the application period of September 1st also applies to the courses of studies of Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine until October 15th the previous year.
The application deadline for students from non-EU countries is July 30th of the year in which the study should begin, unless it is one of the above exceptions. You have to pay for the UCAS application £ 5 to 15, depending on how many courses you are applying for.
As a rule, the application consists of:
• the filled-in online application form,
• a motivation letter,
• a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
If you are already enrolled at a university in another country and want to graduate only one section of your studies in the UK, you must apply directly to the Admission Office at the University of your choice. In this case, the UCAS is not competent.
After the application process, the respective universities will respond with a refusal, an offer without conditions, or either an offer subject to conditions, that is still under the assumption of certain deliverables, such as certain grades in obtaining university entrance.
In case of refusal, you can apply by using a procedure, also called "extra ", that means to apply for vacancies at other universities. Another possibility is the application of "clearing ", for example, to apply for places that have been rejected by other applicants.
