The AKAD private institutions of higher education are active in the adult education for almost 50 years and they are the biggest private supplier of correspondence courses in Germany with around 8 700 participants at the moment. The AKAD technical colleges of higher education in Leipzig, Pinneberg and Stuttgart are part of the group, as well as the WHL Wissenschaftliche Hochschule Lahr. Furthermore, the AKAD is presented in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. The degrees are state-recognized and accredited. The AKAD private institutions of higher educations are part of the Cornelsen publishing house since 1999. The range of study programs comprises courses of Diplom, Bachelor and Master, as well as internationally recognized language diplomas and courses in the field of economy, computing science and languages. Registration and beginning of studies are possible at any time.
The AKAD prepares E-Learning, online studies and lectures. This method enables the students to further their education disregarding time or place of residence.
