Internship

Find an Internship Abroad

Leonardo da Vinci is the vocational and educational training programme of the European Union. Participating countries include the entire EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Turkey.

In the context of the programme "Lifelong Learning ", Leonardo promotes professional education and international transfer of innovation abroad. For instance, the recognition of qualifications and competences is supported through the introduction of a system of credit points in the professional education (ECVET – European Credit Transfer System for Vocational Education and Training).

The promotion of internships abroad within the context of a study, which fell until 2007 in the responsibility of the Leonardo program, was changed and now belongs to the Erasmus programme. If you want to apply for a Leonardo scholarship, you must have finished your studies already. However, the ending of the studies may not date back longer than 1 year.

The application for a Leonardo scholarship is financed by the international students’ office of your university. Similar to the Erasmus internship, internships are not promoted in institutions and organs of the EU as well as in embassies and consulates.
