Hogescholen are Universities of Applied Science. As opposed to regular Dutch universities, hogescholen provide students with a combination of theoretical and practical education (often combined with internships). Dutch hogescholen offer courses in a large number of disciplines, and a lot of these courses are fully taught in English.
