In general, the academic year is divided into two semesters , but the exact time frame will be determined by each university or faculty itself.
Usually, the first semester is from early October to late February, while the second semester lasts from early March to late July.
The written examination phases are included in these periods. The exact dates of the semester beginning and end vary from university to university, but generally each semester lasts around 20 weeks, at least 16 of which are devoted to lectures and other teaching-activities, while the test phase will take approximately four weeks.
