Modern, young and unique - that’s the University of Potsdam in a nutshell - with 18.800 young people studying, 1.900 of them coming from abroad. The University was founded in 1991 and is the largest one in the federal state of Brandenburg. However, Potsdam is not a “degree factory”, since the students are well supervised by their professors and lecturers. The University of Potsdam provides a variety of state of the art and job-oriented degree programs, some of which are highly specialized and thus only offered here. Studying in Potsdam does not indicate solitary learning, but being in touch with a widespread network of corporate partners and other renowned research facilities. No matter your degree or field of study, a year abroad is always possible. Furthermore, the University is famous among students for its surrounding landscape full of nature as well as beautiful castles and gardens. At the same time you can enjoy the flair and nightlife of Germany’s capital city - Berlin.
