Leuphana Universität Lüneburg
University study at Leuphana is based on an educational model unique in Germany, one that has in the meantime been awarded numerous times. With the Leuphana Bachelor, the College offers a wide-ranging, interconnected curriculum leading to the first degree. The Graduate School offers students many different Master programs, with the opportunity for interdisciplinary specializations, as well as semi-structured Ph.D. programs. Leuphana University was recognized for its development of a humanistic, practically oriented and sustainable university by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft in its 2007 competition, “Strategies of Excellence for ‘small and medium-size universities,” and by the Mercator Foundation and the Volkswagen Foundation in their 2010 nationwide competition, “The Future of Teaching.”
