The Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen and its departments in Bocholt and Recklinghausen are trying to contribute through education, research and technology transfer to the structural changes in the northern Ruhr area and in the western Münsterland. Teaching and study convey a professional training; the application-oriented implementation of theory into practice provides graduates with the competences to master professional tasks also with a rapid change of the demands. The development of the content of teaching and research are evident in the change and the expansion of the range of subjects.
