Academy of Art in Nürnberg
Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg
The College of Fine Arts in Nuremberg sees itself as a creative laboratory with an open research assignment. Today, interdisciplinary co-operation characterizes the relationship between the fine and the applied arts, supported by new courses of study and supplemented by training in the technologies of the new media.
At the main campus with its extremely well-equipped workshops, an atmosphere conducive to concentrated endeavor and intellectual exchange prevails among students and teachers of the various classes.
The college tries to make all forms and expressions of contemporary artistic practice possible and to comprehend these in their proper social and historical-critical contexts. The basic of such education is the encouragement of each student‘s individual development.
Changing guest professorships create opportunities that, through the stimulating interplay of ideas, may result in a broad spectrum of creative activity.
